Fillmore Tomato Festival and BBQ '09

Well as the day began it became obvious that the weather would be stellar. So off we went Jerry, me, and oh yes Gladys was along for the ride. We headed south to Fillmore and the Tomato Festival and BBQ hosted by Beylik Family Farms growers of the best tomatoes on the planet. I have been a customer for a couple of years my personal Tomato girl Sheri always taking care of my needs, she the best, but no pic she was at a market that Sunday. We feasted on deep pit BBQ awesome. Brought back memories of my dads pit BBQ. We took a tour of the farm operation seeing first hand how they grow this luscious fruit.

After our stay was done we headed off to Camarillo to the Harley dealership for and event they were having. We took the back roads through Bryce canyon, nice route Jerry took us on. We hung out there for a bit and decided to head back to SB cutting lanes from time to time. This was a fun day and I'm glad Jerry went for the ride we had a good time. I almost forgot to mention when I arrived at farmers market Sheri had for me a gift certificate from the farm that I won in the raffle, how about that icing on the cake.
