knew it was going to be good as we pulled into the special Motorcycle parking area, oh yes did I mention FREE parking. As we entered the venue to the music of Canned Heat who were really good, followed by Elvin Bishop who really kicked ass and rocked the room ( although it was outside) And when you thought it wouldn't/ couldn't get any better then came the Little Richard band followed by the man himself Little Richard in a wheel chair and holding crutches NOT A GOOD SIGN! But after he made his way to the piano bench he really put on a show and made the whole day worth while. This was my second trip north for the event and I will put on my calendar for next year.
Dave Scholl and his troupe headed north and east to a different adventure. There no pics available as I have not figured out how to be in two places at once. After the multitude of events it seems like many of us were doing just that.
Monday by tradition was the highlight of the event packed weekend. The Rick and Demsee Memorial Day BBQ. What a great day filled with such wonderful people, great food, and the Jams of Theresa Russell & Coco Billi.
Thanks for a great day to each and every one who cooked, cleaned, brought great side dishes and wonderful deserts. What the hell is a Urnick? Sure was good though. As usual our host and hostess did a great job. Thank you so much.
Enjoy the pics.
