Hillside House Poker Run
My friend Mary Ann joined me for the Hillside House Poker Run hosted by Pete and Cindy Ortiz with the help of so many volunteers it looked like a small army of men and woman. Popeye and the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians were huge sponsors for this event a very special thanks. The word got out and the turn out was huge. So many showed up to support the cause, plus a great ride/route was planned and the BBQ to follow at Pete and Cindy's is always an event to behold. Pete didn't say anything, but I knew that this special occasion called for a batch of my stuffed peppers. So as the day warmed up and the chatter turned to lets hit the road off we went. To SB Harley in Carp then to the Maverick in Santa Ynez. We took the back road ridding the scenic route past the Alisal Ranch and Nojooui Falls to the 101 south back to SB and The Creek Side. From there back to Pete and Cindy's for the BBQ and awards, raffle and oh yes a bit partying. All in all a great day for a wonderful cause. Helping the Hillside House was what this day was all about and so many people to thank for their work helping with the "nuts and bolts" to make our day fun and special.Enjoy the pics Ronnie |
